A good cheep breakfast in an interesting and unique location. Our server was friendly and very happy. I am definitely going to go back again.
Good food, old school vibe. Owner super friendly.
Great place for breakfast! Very fast and friendly service! Breakfast the way you want it.
This restaurant had a really nice waiter.it has amazing decor on the inside and outside.the food is the best food I had in a while
Super friendly service, delicious, straightforward diner fare, and very reasonable prices. Looking forward to going back!
Older looking diner but the very pleasant staff & good food makes one overlook the de cor
Went for the first time. Had a great breakfast and the staff was excellent!!!You will get treated with a HAPPY DAY!The restaurant is very original which is great to see, but apparently people were smaller back in the day.... The booths were a tight fit for 4.....lol.
Deadly breakfast great service
They let us tuck our son's bike inside while we ate. They were great with the kids. The burgers were fantastic, with buns from the bakery next door, home made patties, and good fresh veggies.
Always good!
Love this place so much, everything feels so homemade and the staff is just so kind and always and always makes you smile!
Awesome little joint. Very pleasant owner. Been around since the mid 50's! How cool is that. Real old dinner feel. Never knew it existed. My new breakfast joint. As for Lunch..try the beef Bulgogi ..medium heat please.
Fair prices and good food. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. Service is very good. Have a happy day!
If you're looking for a fancy and trendy place to have breakfast this isn't it. A total throwback to the 60's and 70's this little hole in the wall diner has your basic breakfast and lunch meals served up with a smile and welcoming owners. The service was very good and it seems that a lot of the neighborhood regulars hit this spot on a regular basis as everyone was being referred to by name. If you're looking for a classic greasy spoon with friendly owners and great prices for food, this is your spot. There's also a bakery next door that everyone seemed to be visiting once they left the restaurant. Not sure of they're affiliated with one another or not.
If you are looking for an old school diner feel, with a simple all day breakfast, then this is the place to come! The owners are enthusiastic and welcoming, and the food is tasty. Oh Happy day!
Nice and cozy breakfast restaurant. Forgot to take pictures but they had a good breakfast menu. Staff was very friendly. Had steak and eggs. Wasn't busy when i was there but fair amount of seating. Lots of decor around. Back again for the second time. I ate one of the pieces before realizing i didn't have a picture. Once again not disappointed. Great little place.
Very friendly staff, great food at a great price.
First time here, decided to give it a try on a whim after someone recommended the next door bakery. The second we stepped in the front door, the decor, wood panelling, and smells transported me to my grandparents home on their farm. It all felt very familiar and comforting.Pretty standard diner breakfast menu. But the hot cakes were HUGE and just like my grandma makes! The scrambled eggs were perfect. The server / owner might be the nicest man I've ever met. He was hilarious, and instantly made our day brighter. We loved him and would come back just to see more of his warm smile and great attitude.Great value and well worth a visit. Happy Day for sure!
Great service (Mr. Lee) and a wonderful breakfast I had while I was there. I highly recommend if you're in the area. Thank you!
After reading some great online review we decided to try this place and we were really impressed! They got the BEST hotcake ever tasted! Light, moist, fluffy and hot! Very happy owner and generous portion. We will certainly come back!
Very nice. Great service, home cooked meals yummy.
My wife and I frequented this establishment 4 decades ago. Today, we "walked down memory lane" by visiting it again for their great breakfast. Nothing, thank goodness, has changed. Amazing food priced right. Amazing service and that 50's/60's atmosphere, complete with very listenable music quietly playing in the background. We're not waiting that long to revisit it again. Take the time to check this out!!
The worst thing about this place is that I didn't go there sooner. I've lived in Richie over a year and finally went to Red Goose for breakfast. The food is good and very affordable, the owner is super friendly, and the restaurant is quite clean. I'll be going here often for breakfast!
This place is great. Don't hesitate. Have some breakfast here. I hope they never change the decor. Wood paneling on the walls with old vinyl booths create this amazing feeling of nostalgia.
The red goose is one of the best home style restaurants around. From the great owners that serve you. To the delicious food. Fresh bread and buns from the bakery next door makes for delicious sandwiches and burgers. Happy day!
Went to barb and ernie's was packed as usual found this place a few blocks away great home cooked breakfast and awesome service
Great place to go for breakfast. Super friendly staff and good service.
The food was amazing!! Comfortable environment, And the best service I've ever had. We left full and very happy😁😁 And don't forget to give them the "Happy Day" fist bump😁😁
I stumbled upon this place on my lunch break. This is a cute little local diner that is run by a family. The man was so nice, eager, and enthusiastic. The interior is a blast from the past, but sorta adds to the charm. My food was very good, fresh, filling, and well priced. Special was Korean bulgogi, but the rest of the menu was typical diner fare. Will be back to try the special.
Amazing breakfast spot. It's definitely an old school diner with no frills, but the food is good, the prices are cheap, and the people who run it are absolutely delightful. If you're looking for avocado toast then this isn't the place for you, but if you're looking for the usual bacon and eggs prepared well and for a more than reasonable price, you'll be more than happy.
Very cool. Great service. Cheap breakfast and super retro funky place
Great hash browns it's just real damn good breakfast they have good sausages too and it's cheap and there aren't huge lineups like all the other breakfast places
I stopped by this restaurant for brunch recently. There is a very interesting vibe to the restaurant. The server (owner) was very very cheerful. In terms of food, I got their regular breakfast with bacon and ham. The quality of the food was decent. It was definitely worth it considering similar brunches at a restaurant in Edmonton.
A hidden gem. Good food for a very good price. Super friendly staff!
I was their for Breakfast. Good tasting food and considerably cheaper than other places I frequent. The owner has an infectious smile and the decor is old school cool.
Excellent local old school diner. Affordable and great food. The owners are super friendly and be sure to give them the ‘Happy Day!’ fist bump on your way out!
Great diner tucked away, definitely a hidden gem. Really solid prices and great food. Owners are amazing and really make the place special.
Great food, great service!! Very friendly atmosphere 😀
Used to be a nice little spot to grab a bite, but since the owners changed the service kinda fell by the wayside. Also the ingredients they use seem to have become quite subpar as well. Prices are cheap though. And the place has nice retro asthetic to it.
This little place is like a blast from the past; the decor hasn't been updated in 40 years and I love it! The food is old school too; with old favorites like pork cuttlets and all day breakfast. The Korean food on the other side of the menu is awesome too and is a nice contrast to the western menu. All of the food is well made, which is the important thing. The owner is very personable and can be heard greeting customers by exclaiming "happy day"! And a happy day it is, at red goose!
An amazing restaurant that I would recommend to everyone. The restaurant has very well prepared and tasty home-made style food and very welcoming and friendly staff/ownership. The restaurant atmosphere is one of a small-town restaurant, giving you the feeling of the simpler, slower pace of life making for a refreshing lunch time experience.
Love Love this place. Owner is very polite and cheerful. Breakfast are awesome!!!!!..
Loved this place! The staff were super friendly and the breakfast was cheap and delicious!
A classic diner experience, run with love. -- You can tell the moment you walk in here that this little restaurant is beloved by owners and customers alike. Decades-old fixtures of the restaurant are maintained and celebrated, and the piped-in waltz music is as timeless as all the rest of the restaurant. -- The food is hot, decent, and competently made, satisfying without pretense or anything fancy. You come here for a plate of food, and that's what you get, and you leave pleasantly fed and glad to have spent your time in somewhere worth looking at and appreciating. -- On my way out, the owner unironically fistbumped me. I'll be coming back. :)
This is our go to breakfast spot. Amazing food, great prices and the most amazing owners you can ever meet. Would highly suggest for everyone to check out this place. Most importantly you have to get a happy day fist bump.
Great home cooked food, great service. Amazing price. Was welcomed by a great cheerful HELLO very nice server will be back
Although most of the reviews for this place talk about the interior of the restaurant as charming or a "blast from the past"...I took a different stance. It smells old and musty and this was not the kind of scent I want to be hit with when I walk into a diner. The decor was old and you can tell this restaurant use to have lots of smoking in it because the ceiling and decorations are still smoke stained and smell of smoke. The service was fantastic. The owner was cheerful and attentive and fantastic overall. I really appreciated the great service. The food was ok. There was nothing outstanding about it. It was well prepared but pretty simple but...the prices were great and reflective of the food so I appreciated that.
Happy day! Tasty breakfast with good portion sizes and prices. Highlight is the owner though, super friendly, delightful to meet. Enjoy your fist bump on the way out!
Classic cafe fair , great food , prices and service ... enjoyed this place for years
Weekends are very busy here but the food is great. Must visit for brunch
